Juan Rojo Drops Latest Single ‘When I’m With You’ ft Jessie Wagner

Born in Chile, but now based in Scotland (via a stint in Brazil), Juan Rojo got his start in music at a very early age, when he realised a passion for the sounds of Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Jorge González & Los Prisioneros, and classical composers, such as Beethoven, as well as the electro breakdance and Hip Hop stylings of which rose up in New York.

While in Brazil, where he moved in 1993 and attended art school, he started collecting records, which led to him starting a band, and consequently set him on a path to become a solo artist, producing electro acoustic material, as well as soundtrack music for both the cinema and theatre.

The artist has so far released three dance EPs, as well as many singles and remixes, drawn from the genres of techno, ambient, deep house, and many more. Additionally he has produced the award-winning soundtrack for Tiago Mata Machado’s film, ‘Os Residentes’.

Juan Rojo’s latest single, ‘When I’m With You’, is a tropical pop track, featuring the vocals of Jessie Wagner, who has previously worked with Lenny Kravitz, and Nile Rodgers. The uplifting track takes its inspiration from the need to let go a little and allow ourselves to lose control, and while spreading positive vibes to his audience, Rojo opens the listener’s ears to the idea of romanticism, and finding the beauty in letting ourselves be fully taken over by his music. ‘When I’m With You’ is a much-needed safe haven in these troubling times.

‘When I’m With You’ is out now, and can be streamed and downloaded here. Find out more about Juan Rojo and his music online on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Spotify.
