Alt-Pop Artist Someya Releases New Single, ‘Da da da da’

Set for release on 2 October, alt-pop artist Someya channels Nick Cave in her new single, ‘Da da da da’.

‘Da da da da’, also known as ‘The Sassy Song’, is the latest track from Someya’s upcoming EP, ‘Bottle Full Of Dreams’. Dark and somewhat sinister, ‘Da da da da’ has a savagely anthemic instrumental accompaniment which is the perfect complement to Someya’s full-bodied vocals.

The song depicts the feeling of being tired of somebody, and having a good talking to yourself about what to do next once realising how you feel.

The Californian singer draws influence from the different traditions of rock music, and cites the melancholic melodies of Lana Del Rey as being among her inspirations. We feel she’s possibly watched a David Lynch film or two in her time – if not, then maybe she should.

Someya brought in Nova Noir Productions to help her out the song, along with Dave Lopez, guitarist with Flipsyde, to play a thrilling solo.

Someya has been involved in music from an early age, and spent several summers in music programmes at Berklee College Of Music, as well as releasing her debut EP at the age of 16. She also toured the UK, and has over the past 3 years seriously pursued her music career, while constantly writing, and improving herself.
