Shara Vallée is from the tiny West Indies island of Anguilla, and the singer and performer is set to explode on the world with her silky smooth vocals. We present to you two of her songs, as well as the official videos, for ‘Tipsy’, and ‘Young, Wild And Free’. When Shara Vallée becomes a massive international star, don’t forget where you heard it first!
Shara Vallée has had a few hits in her local area, and found further popularity when she experimented with Island Pop, and Dance Pop, two of her favourite genres. Her powerful vocals shine through in all her music, as do her confidence, style, assurance, and down-to-earth sincerity. Her abilities have been honed by years of club and larger arena shows on her home island of Anguilla, and would stand well on tour with the likes of David Guetta, Calvin Harris, or even Ellie Goulding.
‘Tipsy’ is a soulful pop track with an electronic foundation, celebrating cutting loose on the town with your best buds. It’s high-octane dance-pop, reminiscent of Katy Perry, and the afore-mentioned Ellie Goulding. It’s upbeat and effervescent, with an energy level perfect for the joyous message of the track.
Speaking of ‘Tipsy’, Shara says,
“I love upbeat music, nobody wants to feel sad. So if my songs can help you get through your day or light your party on fire, I’m more than happy.”
The video for ‘Tipsy’ is set in New York City, where Shara’s fella cancels their plans for dinner, only to go out with his male pals. She decides that two can play that game, and she calls on her squad, who all cut loose through NYC, dancing like there’s no tomorrow, and maybe, getting a little tipsy. They stay out all night, while Shara’s man finishes his night early. Watching the sun come up, they reflect on their incredible night, and pledge to do it all over again. For a different change of pace, the video for ‘Young, Wild And Free’ sees Shara return to Anguilla. The clip, directed by fellow Anguillan Crispin Brooks, is a love letter to her home, and she guides us through the stunning beaches, as well as the gorgeousness of the brightly coloured small town streets. She sings to her lover, who is one of a kind. Like ‘Tipsy’, it’s an ode to independence, but instead of focusing on a night of freedom, Shara sings about living your entire life on your own terms. She sings of true love, the kind that brings out the best in you – that helps you live your life to the full. It’s a gorgeous love song that shows in the very best light the kind of star power possessed by this artist. Remember – you heard it here first!
