Bianca is a singer from Ljubiana, Slovenia, whose take on Ariana Grande’s song, ‘7 Rings’ could just be better than the real thing.
‘7 Rings‘ borrows, in both tune and concept, from the song, ‘My Favorite Things’, made famous by the musical and film, ‘The Sound Of Music’. ‘7 Rings’ updates the concept, replacing the simple desires from the original with objects that a “bad girl” might enjoy – but unlike ‘My Favorite Things’, they leave an empty feeling and a desire for more. Grande’s version is sad and on the slightly depressing side; it gives a vibe of a poor little rich girl who can buy anything she wants but can’t buy happiness. Bianca on the other hand gives us the impression that she’s got everything she wants right there – she’s happy with her life.
Bianca Crnjavic has a stunning vocal range, and it shows in her cover of ‘7 Rings’. The accompanying music video, created by Primate, was produced by Miha DrnovÅ¡ek and directed by Žiga Radulj. Shot in a pink themed boudoir style room (watch for the glitter filled bath), the clip shows Bianca and her friends having the best time in the world – drinking champagne, dancing to music, having the best time of their lives. It’s making no pretensions of being a direct copy of the Ariana Grande original, and in so doing is actually better, as it becomes, in effect, Bianca’s song. She truly makes it her own.
When Bianca isn’t woking on her solo projects, she manages a number of musical brands (including her own) and provides vocals for deep house project, KLEEN.
