It’s An 80s Dance Party With Jaguar Dreams’ New Song, ‘A Real Woman’

If you’re like me and grew up in the 80s, then you’d instantly know the sound that Jaguar Dreams are channelling with their latest track, ‘A Real Woman’.

Accompanied by a music video that looks like it’s straight out of that decade and has the been shot in a way as to resemble an old VHS tape, the song evokes the sounds of Chic (there’s definitely some Nile Rodgers guitar in there), David Bowie, Duran Duran, Culture Club, and others of that era. It’s a catchy dance track that’s guaranteed to keep echoing in your head long after the song’s over.

In speaking of ‘A Real Woman’, Jaguar Dreams said,

“This song is our party song. This is our jam. It was inspired by late nights in our Brooklyn studio with all of our friends selecting and playing random disco and funk records from our collection…. from old James Brown to Chic to god knows what else. It talks about “A Real Woman,” but it’s really about anyone who’s real, who knows themselves, and who doesn’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks. It’s a celebration about embracing individuality because there’s nothing sexier than that.”

We’re not arguing!
