Scandroid Releases Lazerpunk Remix of Latest Single ‘Red Planet’

Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, electro-synthwave producer Lazerpunk has crafted a cybersynth remix of Scandroid’s latest single, ‘Red Planet’. The remix showcases the darker side of Scandroid’s upcoming 3rd full-length album, ‘The Darkness and The Light’, following the recent singles ‘Time Crime’, ‘New York City Nights’, and ‘Red Planet’.

Scandroid, the modern synthwave project from Detroit based artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, is Klayton’s love letter to the ’80s.

The self-titled debut Scandroid album (2016) and sophomore album ‘Monochrome’ (2017), have each received critical acclaim with #1 iTunes Electronic Album charting, plus Top 5 Billboard Electronic Album Sales Charting. Scandroid’s success has spawned millions of online streams, over 100,000 worldwide fans and a collection of remixes from respected synthwave artists, including Dance With The Dead, Robert Parker, VHS Dreams, Arcade High, Magic Sword, Sunset Neon, Daniel Deluxe, PYLOT, d.notive, GosT, Makeup and Vanity Set, Waveshaper and more.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
