Peter Cloud is known for his creative remixes of a diverse range of tracks. Now he’s pulled one right out of the box – a refreshing take on ‘Pistol Packin’ Mama’, made famous back in 1943 by Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters. The track appears in the post-apocalyptic action role-playing video game, ‘Fallout 4’ and is therefore the perfect choice for a remix by Cloud.
Like all of Cloud’s other remixes, he gives a new lease on life to the classic – in this case he brings it right into the 21st century with electric guitars, and a foot thumping drum beat which doesn’t take anything away from the source music but instead enhances the sparse brass instrumentation.
