Being undead is difficult, forever bloodthirsty and hungry for human flesh isn’t all it cracked up to be. Especially when you are trying to maintain a quiet suburban lifestyle with your family, whilst attempting to hold down a nice normal job, yeah – that can make it tricky.
That is the problem that Sheila (Drew Barrymore) and Joel (Timothy Olyphant) are continuing to face, in the new reveal of season 2 of the Santa Clarita Diet.
This gripping season see’s the family, where murder has become a hobby, struggling with supply and demand. They cannot supply the bodies, of those in this quiet suburban town, quick enough to provide for the demand they face. The death count is rising and the Hammonds family are leaving their fingerprints all over town. Begging the question – how much longer can they get away with murder?
Whilst the family are trying to ironically keep one finger on the pulse of normality and the other on the feeding of their undead mother figure, a hunt for the source of the virus is underway. But what is more important – stopping the ‘undead’ virus spreading and saving humanity, keeping Sheila’s stomach full to stop her eating those who love her or being normal?
With season two unveiling new guest stars Joel McHale, Maggie Lawson, Gerald McRaney and Zachary Knighton, it’s set to go off with a bang. But hey, whoever said suburbia was a quiet life?
‘Santa Clarita Diet’ Season 2 launches globally on Netflix, Friday, March 23rd.
