Essential Advent Calendar: ‘Merry Christmas Everyone – Christmas Hearts Club Band

“May this song bring relief, peace and hope to you all in this last quarter of what has been a tremendously difficult and challenging year in light of the tragic events, natural catastrophes as well as the loss of iconic artists, close friends and family. Let’s end 2017 on a high note so to speak, full of cheer, without fear.” – Lost Nomad, aka Diego Guzman

“Christmas Hearts Club Band” is a fictional band and one off side project of session musicians, brought together by Manchester UK based indie artist and singer songwriter, Diego Guzman, aka Lost Nomad. A self-taught 4 and 5 string bass player whose played in alt rock and metal bands for years while pursuing a languages degree in paris and then Manchester, Lost Nomad has been making a living since 2014 busking in the Deansgate area of Manchester, performing originals and covers. He’s now got two albums’ worth of material, and each song shows his immense passion for music and obsession with catchy melodies and huge choruses.

Lost Nomad’s influences include 80s pop to 90s alt-rock and metal, funk, dance, and reggae, and this shows in his music, with an emphasis on often poetic, mystical lyrics.

‘Merry Christmas Everyone!’ is a Beatles style Christmas song, featuring piano, guitar, and string arrangements, with male and female vocals. The track is about the magic, peace, and joy of the festive season, and has a Beatles/Plastic Ono Band feel about it.
