Elecro/indie rock Next Fix, comprising Rafael Tolemak and Edward Ezra, channel 70s rock blended with synth-pop from the 80s, while using modern production techniques, and cite among their influences legendary electro artists such as Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, and Kraftwerk.

‘The Outskirts’ is about two lovers struggling to find acceptance in a judgemental society, and we feel a Gary Numan vibe to the vocals, but the influence of Depeche Mode is very clear. Midway through the track there is an Eastern-style bridge which goes very well with the synth and percussion-heavy instrumentals.
