Bry is a 28 year old Irish singer and songwriter previously performing under the name Bribry. He made a name for himself on his self-titled YouTube channel by uploading original material and cover songs for more than 380,000 subscribers. He has sold out tours worldwide from the UK to Australia. In November 2016, he released his self-titled debut album.
Some people may already know of Bry through his incredibly popular YouTube vlogging channel, but any pre-conceptions that he simply released an album off the back of a few subscribers is quickly dispelled, as this talented musician leaves his mark on you within a matter of minutes of listening. The Irish singer-songwriter is out to prove everyone wrong, and with almost inch perfect production from Greg Wells (best known for his work with Twenty One Pilots, Mika and Katy Perry), it comes off a treat.
The album starts off in an upbeat tempo, with a stomping rhythm. There are hints of positivity weaving their way throughout the songs, while it nonetheless also includes some emotional acoustic songs. One of these is ‘Your Life Over Mine’ . Starting off with a slow tempo, we hear a synth backing track, as well as an acoustic guitar. The whole song is about loving someone and heartbreak.
The first song on the album is our favourite, ‘Disarm’. An upbeat track in melody with a darker tone in the lyrical content, it seems to be the perfect opening tune for the album.
‘BRY’ shows off Bry’s talent in song writing and creativity. Each song shows off the immense vocal talent of the young singer, his voice has a hint of his Irish brogue, which adds effect to each song, giving them a realistic vibe.
The album is great, it’s full of talent and hard work and Bry should be very proud of himself.
You can listen to ‘BRY’ on Spotify, and download it from Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and Bry’s official website. Find Bry online on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
