Liverpool’s newest rock-n-roll four-piece, The Sneaky Nixons have released their new single, ‘Returning Home A Failure’ on February 3 through Ocean Waves Records.
‘Returning Home a Failure’ is the follow up to last summer’s ‘Schadenfreude’, and is available digitally. The track is a taste of what to expect from the band’s forthcoming debut album, ‘The Barbie Syndrome’ which is set for release on March 3.
‘The Barbie Syndrome’ was recorded last year at the Motor Museum studio with producer Carlo Variola and engineer James Mellor and features eleven new high energy indie punk tracks with an infusion of early 90s Britpop and Americana.
Formed nearly two years ago, The Sneaky Nixons’ comprise Charlie Manning (on vox and guitar), Lisa Fawcett (drums), Jamie Gosling (bass) and David Lloyd (guitar). They set about crafting their very own angry, yet melodic steam train guitar music and have gained a reputation locally for their volatile, arrogant behaviour and riotous live performances.
The Sneaky Nixons played a special hometown show at Liverpool’s District to launch the single on February 3. This will be followed by a performance at Dublin’s Workman’s Club on 9 February, then in London at The Islington on the 12th of February. More shows will be announced to coincide with the album release in March.
