Last week we featured Julius Cowdrey’s new single, ‘7 Roads (I See You)’. Now we’ve asked him Six Quick Questions.

EP: What got you into music rather than cricket?

JC: My Mother used to sing jazz professionally, so my love for music stemmed through her love for it.

EP: Who have been your inspirations in music? And in life?

JC: Elton John, I saw him when I was very young in a concert & I decided I wanted to be able to play piano & sing at the same time. I’m no way near his standards on the piano but he’s inspired me hugely.

Sia! Her voice is incredible, not a more believable & understanding voice around, she tells the story perfectly!

EP: If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently, if anything, and why?

JC: I never regret anything. Life’s too short.

EP: What advice do you have for anyone wanting to break into the music industry?

JC: Very cliche but never stop believing, there are a lot of  lows you’ll have to go through but ride that wave and take it straight back up to a high!

EP: What three artists should we look out for and why?

JC: Tricky, there’s so much talent! My number 1 to look out for is Dan Crossley – he oozes talent when it comes to singing and writing!!

Another two are Anna Pancaldi & Nathalie Shay both v talented singer/songwriters.

EP: What question do you wish someone would ask you in an interview but nobody ever does?

JC: What subject do you least want to write about & why?
