Anana Kaye Follow Up ‘Ain’t Dead Yet’ With Technicolor Feast ‘Carolina’

We introduced readers to Anana Kaye back in November with their track, ‘Ain’t Dead Yet’. Now Anana Kaye and Irakli Gabriel return with their song, ‘Carolina’, accompanied by a vibrantly-coloured, screen-saturating video.

‘Carolina’ is a laid back country style song, with Anana’s vocals reminscent of Stevie Nicks. The song combines Anana’s hook-laden lyrics and Irakli’s gifted guitar playing. The video features Jacque Ryal, from RYAL, pushing through her day to day life, looking for all the world like she’d rather be anywhere else but there. Her dreams feature a living rag doll of Anana, evoking a certain sadness. Like the lyrics though, “We’ll get through this”. Tomorrow is always a brighter day.

Anana and Irakli also cameo on the video, as right they should, given they also shot and directed the video themselves. The video is a gorgeous and glorious feast for the eyes, as is the song for the ears.

Anana Kaye’s debut EP, ‘Sentinent’, is available on iTunes. Find Anana Kaye online on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Soundcloud, and their official website.
