Liverpool-based band Bad Mood will release their second single, ‘Grungeblues’ on 4th November.
The follow up to their single, ‘May 2nd‘, ‘Grungeblues’ is an electric guitar led track with brooding and, quite frankly, moody vocals – although we’re not sure it’s a bad mood. Described as a “four-piece punk art riot”, Bad Mood have a sixties tinge to their style, reminiscent of The Doors and more modern artists, such as Oasis.
Although none of the members are from Liverpool, the band, which formed in late 2015, nonetheless consider the town their home, and have dug their roots deep in the socially conscious city. Lead singer Liam Devall honed his songwriting and performance skills in the London underground music scene, while bass guitarist has worked with both Pete Wiley, and Ian Prowse.
The band describe their sound as somewhere between insight and plain aggression, but it’s certainly a sound that warrants more than one listen, and showcases their obvious talents.
‘Grungeblues’ will be available to purchase from November 4. Bad Mood will announce live shows later this year.
