Indie rock artist, Kim Logan, has today announced the official release of her new single, ‘Cadillac’. The highly anticipated track is the first single from her album, ‘Pseudoscience: Chapter 1’, which is set for release on September 9.
‘Cadillac’ has been produced by Vance Powell. The four time Grammy winner is best known for his work with Jack White, Chris Stapleton, and Arctic Monkeys.
Originally from Sarasota, Florida, but now based in Nashville, Kim’s unconventional sound, which draws inspiration from artists as wide ranging as The Velvet Underground, Lana Del Rey, and Marilyn Monroe, has seen her earn her place beside some of the biggest names in the music industry. Kim started her singing career at the age of 9 as a professional opera singer, continuing for the next decade until she attended the Berklee College of Music, where she decided to pursue a career in writing and recording music.
‘Pseudoscience: Chapter 1’, as the name implies, is the first of two albums in a concept series. Her inspiration for the albums comes from her experiences in a tumultuous and toxic relationship, which started out as a romantic love affair, but finished on a disastrously violent note. There was a silver lining however, in that Kim was able to channel her pain into these songs.
Kim’s new song, ‘Cadillac’, is a gritty rock number, with country stylings reflecting her Nashville surroundings.
You can find Kim Logan online on her official website, Facebook, and Twitter. ‘Pseudoscience: Chapter 1’ is out on September 9 through Swamp Thing Records from Kim’s website.
