Scott Beaton Is No ‘New Clown’ With Beautiful 80s Tinged Track

Scott Beaton 2

With a beautifully dreamy track that reminds us of the likes of Scritti Politti, comes Scott Beaton and his song, ‘New Clown’.

The bass player and vocalist from Glasgow band, The Blue Lenas, takes a different direction to that of his band in this solo effort, resulting in a trancey, electropop psych funk song that is mesmerising in its lyrical and musical complexity. ‘New Clown’ combines 80s stylings with contemporary production techniques, and in all is a beautiful song which demands to be listened to over and over.
