Alternative rock band, Crystal Balloon, from Chepstow in South Wales, have announced their latest single, ‘The Wheel’. It’s from their forthcoming debut release EP, ‘Hurricane’, which is due out later this year.
‘The Wheel’ was recorded over a period of four months, with production by the legendary George Shilling, known for his work with Blur, Primal Scream, and Frank Turner, among many others. It’s understandable then that Crystal Balloon considers this to have been an incredible experience!
With live appearances set for the next few months to promote the single following its release on July 4, Crystal Balloon believe the song will become a fan favourite, as it features their signature gritty guitar riffs, delightful vocal harmonies, and catchy hooks.
Trio Crystal Balloon comprises Jack Stanton on Vox and Lead Guitar (who also writes their songs), Tim Burden on Guitar and Bass, and Erik Karvik on Drums and Bass. Their influences are drawn from many genres, with the result being a sound all of their own, but with hints of Brit rock combined with singer/songwriter storytelling.
