It’s day 11 on the Essential Advent Calendar and behind the door is ‘Home For the Holidays Vol 8’ from XO Publicity, a compilation album featuring 9 bands from the XO stable.
This is the eighth year that XO Publicity have issued their Christmas compilation, and it certainly makes a change from the usual holiday music!
The cover artwork is by Stephen Jordan, and is a combination of digital and freehand weave type drawings in ink. Each side of the crescent shaped design is symmetrical in terms of drawing patterns yet the bottom centre portion is not as symmetrical. This was designed to symbolise diversity and culture coming together despite potential differences.
