Donal Quinn – ‘Don’t Say’

Irish singer/songwriter Donal Quinn has come up with a really punchy foot tapper in ‘Don’t Say’. An indie dance artist, one man and his electric guitar, Donal reminds us a lot of Feargal Sharkey in his Undertones days; driven and full of earnest energy.

‘Don’t Say’ is the second release for Donal this year, and he’s has been tipped by the Irish Daily Mirror and Dublin’s 98FM – as well as Irish music bible, Hotpress – as their next up & coming Irish artist. And it’s no wonder. Based in Drogheda, north of Dublin, Donal has been building a buzz with his club anthems since 2014 and is set for dance-floor domination in 2015. ‘Don’t Say’ is a modern day take on love and rejection, with reference to the internet, unanswered messages and loss of signal. It’s a great song, very much an earwormer.

‘Don’t Say’ will be available from Monday 24 August on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other digital distribution outlets. Donal is playing Sweeney’s Basement Bar, Dublin, on 28th August where he will be launching ‘Don’t Say’.

You can hear ‘Don’t Say’ on Dublin radio station Today FM where Dermot and Dave are promoting Donal all this week as their Homegrown Hero. Listen to their show between 12 and 4.30 weekdays.
