Drawing comparisons to David Guetta, will.i.am and Avicii, Bentley Jones was the first British artist to release a Japanese album on a major label. TRANS//LATION was released on EMI Music Japan way back in 2008 and the first track released reached Number 5 in the Japanese charts with no promotion.
Not only a musician and writer, Bentley was part of a string of sold out shows with the Birmingham Opera where he also capitalised on his extensive dance talents. Additionally, Bentley is a trained fitness instructor, gymnast and swimmer.
Best described as a songsmith, Bentley’s infectious pop laden hooks and variance in genres and styles make him an instant hit. Combining rock, pop and electronica, his latest EP, ‘The Prequel’ is likely to be the most streamline release you hear all year.
It is a testament to his musical genius that he manages to adhere to the established genres that made him famous whilst also being able to incorporate new influences to create truly original sounds.
Bentley Jones’ EP, ‘The Prequel’, will be released on 31 August. You can find him online on his website, YouTube, SoundCloud, Facebook, and Twitter.
