We had the immense pleasure to be invited to the launch of Mo Evan’s debut EP, “Spilled My Love” at The Bedford, in Balham, South West London. Attended by friends, family, fans and media, the “Globe Theatre” was filled to capacity, with the audience captivated. Accompanied by Stephanie Fraser, Mo’s best friend and an extraordinary vocalist in her own right, Mo led us through the songs on his new release.
Standing with guitar and mic, with a full band including drums, bass guitar and double bass, Mo’s voice was pure and clear, and sent shivers down everyone’s spines – particularly the haunting “Close My Eyes”. Every song was a highlight, with “Spilled My Love” echoing in my brain even now, a week later. Peppered with banter (his response to his mum’s calls to pull his trousers up was priceless!), it was a very enjoyable evening, with everyone leaving with smiles on their faces. Mo Evans is an artist we will be watching closely, and recommend you see live if possible.
Spilled My Love is available on iTunes, Amazon, and from Mo’s website.
Mo will be performing next at The Half Moon, Putney this Thursday.
