Mark Ronson has had to rush release his collaboration song with Bruno Mars – “Uptown Funk” – due to the fact that Fleur East performed a cover version on the X Factor which has reached the top end of the iTunes chart.
It wasn’t due to be released for another 5 weeks and is now even a contender for Christmas Number one in the UK.
Is he angry?
Is it all a clever marketing ploy by Simon Cowell as Mark is under the same record label as him?
Whatever the answers to those questions let’s keep it all about the music and the performances shall we?
Fleur’s performance was simply magnificent. She sang, she danced and she bloody well entertained. For me, although I think Ben Haenow is brilliant too, this shows her off in a whole new light and I think she could be a massive superstar – good luck!
The original version is by all means just as brilliant and the more I listen to it the more I like it. You really could just pick up Bruno Mars and put him in your pocket he is that adorable. What’s more is he can pull off a great song and dance routine – great stuff!
