Aaron Carter has packed more into his 26 years than most people do in a lifetime. The Tampa Florida native first started performing at age 7 when he was the lead singer of local band “Dead End”. He moved on to solo performances at age 10 when the band wanted to play alternative music, and he wanted to do pop. Opening for elder brother Nick’s band, “The Backstreet Boys” in 1997 led to a record contract, and his first single, “Crush On You”. His subsequent self-titled studio album went gold in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada and Germany.
Moving on, Carter has since released a further 3 studio albums, 2 EPs, appeared on 3 compilation albums, and had songs feature on the soundtracks from 7 films and TV shows, including “Popstar”, a feature film in which he starred, and was based heavily on his life as a performer.
Aaron is currently recording a new album and has just started his Wonderful World Tour – which includes dates around the US and Europe. Fans in the UK can catch Aaron 14-18 January next year, in Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Glasgow. Further details are available on his Tour Website.
Aaron’s new single, ‘Oohwee’ comes out on 14 October.
