Hailing from The Netherlands, singer Charrles (real name Charlot Henzen) has a lot of experience under her belt at the tender age of 22. Now gone solo, after leaving her band of seven years, “I Kissed Charles”, the singer has thrown herself into her music in a big way, and cites her influences as The Naked and Famous, Charli XCX, Icona Pop and Ellie Goulding.
The influence of 80s electro pop is immediately evident upon first listening to her music, with her song “Sounds of the City” reminding us of 80s girl groups like Bananarama, The GoGos and the Bangles.
