Austrian singer and celebrity, Conchita Wurst has won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, held this year in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Wurst, who also goes by the name of Tom Neuwirth, won with the Bond-style power-ballad, “Rise Like A Phoenix”, receiving an astounding 290 points – the third highest scoring winner to date, after Alexander Rybak in 2009 and Loreen, 2012.
Wurst’s post-ESC future certainly looks bright, with the singer predicted to make as much as £25 million in music sales and endorsements.
