It’s a laid back, summer-y tune for the Canadian songstress’ fourth single of this current album cycle. ‘The Cliff’s unmistakably taps into the kind of sound put forward by Halsey and the kind of visuals which Lana del Ray makes her own – full of endless hazy summers’ days, a hitchhiked road trip with a stranger, love found in the most unlikely places. ‘The Cliffs’ is taken from Vissia’s upcoming album, With Pleasure, out in April.
It’s February, which means it’s LGBTQ+ history month. But, as well as looking backwards at the musicians and artists who have shaped history as openly gay, lesbian and queer spokespeople, it’s important to shine a light on those who are around today, standing loud and proud and making music as part of an underrepresented and marginalised group of people.
