Interview: Tomás Doncker – ‘Creator of Global Soul’

There are many illuminating facets to powerful singer/songwriter, record producer, record label President, and most recently, Broadway stage sensation, Tomás Doncker. Like an array of fireworks, Doncker is wild, plunging into the night sky and shattering the darkness with each performance. Although fireworks do not last forever, their memories of patterns, colors, brilliance, and surprise are lasting, as is the music created by Tomás Doncker.

Greg Antista and The Lonely Streets – ‘Goodnight Ramona’

Greg Antista has been a face in the California punk scene for the better part of three decades, having played with the late Steve Soto, in Joyride, whose 1992 debut set, ‘Johnny Bravo’, is a landmark in that state’s punkpop scene. He’s toured Europe, including Rebellion Festival in the UK with Foxy, another fun and exciting punk band. Now he’s got his own group, The Lonely Streets, who will be releasing their debut album, ‘Shake, Stomp and Stumble’, produced by Paul Miner, in May this year. First drop from the album is the brisk and hooky, ‘Goodnight Ramona’.

Seven Past Sunset – ‘Overwhelmed’

From the American Mid-west, rock band Seven Past Sunset formed in 2017. Vocalist Dustin Hites was busy working on his solo-career, playing in venues around Ohio. A friend of now-guitarist Johnny Krill caught his set, and had Johnny listen over the phone. A week later the pair met up and joined forces in Soup Can Studio, putting down their first songs, with the rest of the band rounded out by Jeremy Rober on bass and vocals, and Scottie Vining on drums.
