Mike Shinoda’s ‘Post Traumatic’ Is A Sad Album Yet Serves As A Catharsis For Linkin Park Fans As Much As For Him

‘Post Traumatic’ by Mike Shinoda, is a sad album. There’s no getting past it. Written in the shadow of the suicide of his friend and Linkin Park bandmate, Chester Bennington, Shinoda uses the deeply personal album as a catharsis to work through his feelings. The 16 track full length album follows on from the EP of the same name, released in January this year.

Haley Reinhart – ‘Last Kiss Goodbye’

Haley Reinhart made her debut on Concord Records in September last year, with ‘What’s That Sound?’, a classic rock album which blends rock & roll with pop, as well as hints of jazz. She followed this with an international solo headlining tour, taking in seven countries across Europe, as well as a US tour. Now Reinhart, who first starting singing with her parents’ band at the age of 7, and is currently writing her fourth album, returns with ‘Last Kiss Goodbye’, a self-written track which blends jazz, bossa nova, and American pop.

Tiny Fighter – ‘Hollow Talk’

Stockholm-based indie-pop duo Tiny Fighter had a breakthrough with the video for their song, ‘New Century’, introducing them to a worldwide audience via the dreamlike clip shot on 360 degree camera. We featured the video back in January here, winning not just praise from us (“a name to watch out for”), but also from Oh Es Tee (“a whirlwind of a video”), New Sick Music (“a video that makes you feel as though the world is endless, and, yes, tiny”), and other publications. Comprising Australian multi-instrumentalist Tim Spelman and Swedish singer-songwriter Therese Karlsson, Tiny Fighter have returned with their new track, ‘Hollow Talk’.
