Dennis J. Leise grew up outside Pittsburgh, in rural Pennsylvania, along with a long stretch in Chicago, but now makes his home on his urban farm in unincorporated Gary, Indiana. Gary has allowed Dennis both accessibility to the music scene he’s entrenched himself in, as well as the solitude of working the land. He was recently featured in the Chicago Reader, in a piece called, “Dennis J. Leise grows his own”, which highlighted the successful, if unconventional, balancing act he performs, of having his cake and eating, too.
