Dan Says – Week Eleven

Not gonna lie; its been quite a low key week for me. I’ve currently saving super hard for my trip to Baltimore next month among other exciting things but it really has got me thinking about things happening. I realised that unless the occasion involves alcohol I’m often not partial to attendance. I spent Thursday & Friday drinking away at the local pub; drinking the night away with colleagues and smoking just a little too much. We’ll look back on these occasions with such fondness, even if they do end with myself jumping into the back of a cab enroute to a hook up I 100% should not be pursuing.

Dan Says – A Letter About Britney

Britney Jean Spears is an icon. She is the literal definition of pop music. She’s an institution to the pop music world; without her you wonder where pop music would be.

Dan Says – Week 10

Another week…another tale from the city.

Dan Says – Week Nine

Brunch has got to be one of my favourite occasions of the week…kicking back with an avocado based something and an unusual coloured drink… that’s exactly what I had at the wonderful Melange Restaurants in Crouch End.

Dan Says – Week Eight

I had the absolute pleasure of catching ‘Benidorm Live’ this week; a live version of the hit TV show written by Derren Litten. The show translates to stage perfectly; it’s essentially like this mini pantomime…it’s funny, it’s ambitious, it’s tongue-in-chic and it featured my favourite characters from the season – the wonderful Joyce Temple-Savage played by Sherrie Hewson, is elegant and hysterical and commands the stage!

Dan Says – Week Seven

Music is such a universal language that brings people all of different races, ages and backgrounds together…it’s amazing that you can be in a venue of 40,000 people or 2,000 people and everyone has their own story of why they’re there.

Dan Says – Week Six

It’s Week Six for Dan Says! This week Dan has been listening to Ellie Goulding, Carly Ray Jepsen, Emma Bunton, Slayyter, and Clare Maguire!

Dan Says – Week Five

This week marks a pretty favourable one for myself, if I do say so myself…after last week’s dick pic exploration, I’ve been a lot more PC this week and kept my clothes on…

Dan Says – Week Four

This week has been a fairly active one… it’s quite literally flown by! I recently got interviewed by ‘GuysLikeU’ and they did a piece on myself…life, love, career etc, which was quite nerve-wracking and exciting but it got some really sweet comments from friends and family…a lot of people were saying to me “I didn’t know that about you” but I feel that’s a common thread for me…I’m quite secretive with myself in some areas so it felt nice to open up a little bit…I would be lying if I said it wasn’t uncommon in the gay community to share penis pics and whilst I’ve never really sent them before, I have received a fair amount in my time and on Saturday morning; I felt bold as brass and took my first ever full length nude photo and sent it…I’m not Vanessa Hudgens, so if it were to “‘leak” it would have very little impact on myself but it was exhilarating and the guy I sent it to really enjoyed it…so that’s been a bit of a perk for my confidence.

Dan Says – Week Three

With Valentine’s Day on it’s way…I’m interested to know about what everyone’s up to? I read about this heart sausage that M&S were doing that looked super scrumptious however it’s mixed with truffle and I’m not the biggest fan of truffle; so I think this year, I’ll give that one a miss. My most romantic Valentine’s Day was probably long walks along a beach front with my then-partner…I haven’t really been that lucky in love to have a series of great Valentines, but the beach-front walks were certainly romantic and sweet…with a brisk wind and a look of adoration from your partner, mixed with a portion of chips to share; it really is the simple things sometimes. I have made a silent rule to myself to put myself “out there” more this year in terms of dating… normally I go on one date with a guy and get really hung up on him, but this year, I’m allowing myself the opportunity to explore.

Dan Says – Week Two

We’ve hit February! I’m sure January was longer than the entire of 2018? I had a lovely Saturday having brunch at Bao and Bing. It was so cool! It’s this cute little Thai cuisine restaurant just off Baker Street. You pick two buns and then your pieces inside the buns… Bao is like this fluffy, steamed bun and it’s absolutely scrumptious. I had salmon, avocado and vine tomatoes with me and a glass of prosecco or two. They also do this really fun thing where you can pick a number between 1-150 and if your number is called from this bingo box, your meal is free.

Dan Says – Week One

Blue Monday? More like Blue January… The cold weather makes a 6.30am start even bleaker. After a weekend of revlry, you’re reminded of the impending routine coming your way and as you lie there in bed, I wake up and reach for my morning playlist. I alter it every week and these tracks are some of the ones that are getting me through Blue January.
