We Catch Up With Shaheed And DJ Supreme And Talk To Them About Their Life Mission, And Their Music

Back in March we spoke to Shaheed and DJ Supreme about their music and what they’ve been up to. Prolific artists and men on a mission, they are always on the go, repping their hometown of Birmingham Alabama, and helping to ensure young people from their city get a good start in life.

We caught up with them again to find out what they’ve been up to.

Alt Rock Artist Passaro Drops New EP ‘Anguish’

Alternative rock artist Passaro did the reverse of what a lot of artists do, and moved away from his hometown of Los Angeles, to make his base in Birmingham, Alabama. His first release under the Passaro name, ‘Anguish’ is a 6 track EP, and was released on January 12.

The Burning Peppermints – ‘Don’t Try To Lie To Me’

The Burning Peppermints join the illustrious set of excellent music coming out of Birmingham, Alabama, with their blend of punk, grunge, and rock’n’roll in their new single, Don’t Try To Lie To Me’.

Shaheed and DJ Supreme – ‘Glorious Day’

Hip-hop duo, Shaheed and DJ Supreme are from Birmingham Alabama and have performed with the likes of Akil (MC from Jurassic 5). Starting their collaboration in 2007, they released two critically acclaimed albums, ‘Health, Wealth & Knowledge Of Self’, and ‘Scholar Warrior’ (a remix album), before eventually signing to Birmingham label, Communicating Vessels.

Future Elevators – ‘Modern World’

Future Elevators is the new project of Michael Shackelford, following the breakup of his former band, The Grenadines. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Shackelford has collaborated with independent record label Communicating Vessels in the release of his new single, ‘Modern World’.
