Sankarshan Das – ‘The World Peace Formula’

November 17, 2020

‘The World Peace Formula’ is a classic folk song, a la Bob Dylan, or Woody Guthrie. Not simply pointing fingers at the problems, Sankarshan Das offers a way out of the mess we’re all in, with a solution that is on the one hand quite mind-boggling, but yet on the other, as simple as a grain of sand.

November 17, 2020

We’ve been writing about Sonarpilot for a while now, the artist whose real name is Michael Moppert. With The Mirage Project, which he started in Spring 2020, he’s crafted six fractal films, using bespoke soundtracks, designed to appear monthly. Crazy to think that December is just around the corner, and with it comes the final two instalments, ‘Cathedral’, and ‘The Last Machine’.

Moonray – ‘When You’re Around’

November 17, 2020

The first thing you’ll notice in the clip for Moonray’s latest single, ‘When You’re Around’, is the DeLorean, as it pulls up outside some 80s style skating rink, and singer and synthesist Barbara Higginbotham gets out, hair wildly backcombed, and a cassette tape hanging around her neck on a thick gold chain. It’s ‘Back To The Future’ meets ‘Stranger Things’ and already we love it.
