kOJO SAFFU RELEASES ‘CAN’T STOP THIS’ TO INTRODUCE HIS EP ‘MUSINGS’

With influences including The 1975 and Arctic Monkeys, Austin Higney’s pseudonym Mello Talk is his platform for writing compelling, coming of age anthems. His track, ‘Head Games’ is reminscent of Tame Impala and M83, and is a song about unrequited love.

Janet Gardner – ‘Rat Hole’

Janet Gardner, former lead singer of seminal metal band, Vixen, has signed with Pavement Entertainment, aftr an extended hiatus. She released her self-titled album in August, her first since ‘Tangerine’ in 1998. Pairing up with her producer/songwriter/guitarist husband Justin James, this album is a new style for Janet, and she has released four of her songs on YouTube, including ‘Rat Hole’.

The second release from his album, ‘Try Your Hardest’, Mr Flannery and His Feelings’ track, ‘Embers Of Dead Fires’ is a retro-sounding pop-rock track with a provocative video which will have you on the edge of your seat.

Brooklyn Queen – ‘Emoji’

Although her name might suggest she’s from New York, Brooklyn Queen is actually from Detroit, and was named in honour of Biggie, by her mother, Detroit rapper, Nailnotirious Kim.
