Hippo Campus – ‘Bambi’

Despite their upbeat band name, Hippo Campus dive into topics such as depression and isolation, mixed with self-deluded fantasy. The name refers to the part of the brain in the temporal lobe, which plays an important part in the roles of learning and memory. Hippo Campus the band channel deep feelings, and by the use of poetic writing infused with light production and electronic elements, they create worlds where intense emotions are able to be released.

Meg Myers – ‘Numb’

Meg Myers released her new album, ‘Take Me To The Disco’ back in July, via 300 Entertainment. The album was met with critical acclaim, including from Billboard, which called it “Cathartic…life-affirming”, while Uproxx described it “as powerful as it is unsettling”. She joined forces with producer, Christian “Leggy” Landon to co-write most of the songs, and enlisted the services of drummer Victor Indrizzo (known for his work with Depeche Mode), as well as The Section Quartet, bringing in live strings.

Delerium & JES – ‘Stay’

Delerium started in the late 1980s as a side project for Bill Leeb and Michael Balch, who were both at that time part of the electro-industrial group, Front Line Assembly. Balch left the group in 1989, after the release of their first album, ‘Faces, Form & Illusions’. The band was joined by Rhys Fulber soon after. Delerium have blended everything from dark trance, to electro-pop, and since the release of their album, ‘Semantic Spaces’, in 1994, they’ve teamed up with guest vocalists, releasing classics such as ‘Silence’, which featured Sarah McLachlan. More recently, their track ‘Stay’, appeared on their album ‘Mythologie’, which was released on Philadelphia label, Metropolis Records, in 2016.

Deezer Music With Sole: Combining Music And Art Using The Medium Of Footwear

Music streaming service Deezer gave UK singer songwriter Zak Abel, and artist Daniel Cordas, the challenge to create custom trainer designs based on their personal interpretations of Zak’s single, ‘Love Song’. Additionally, a special pair of trainers was made featuring graphics based on the musical inspirations of both artists. Fans will have the opportunity to win a pair of the limited edition shoes.
