Having its genesis from a period where his late-night thoughts grew louder, while unresolved feelings started finding their way to the surface, ‘Electric Ghosts’ focuses on the emotional overload of that experience. There’s no individual person or moment singled out in the song, but rather, it’s a harking back to the memories, inner conversations, and quiet realisations that have built up over time.

‘Electric Ghosts’ came together like an entry in a private journal, the raw and unfiltered lyrics working perfectly with the guitar melodies that flowed naturally. The track was recorded in Sunsetlee’s home studio, and his vulnerability is made evident, blending sadness and reflection, with some subtleness of strength. It’s a comforting song, allowing anyone who’s felt alone with their thoughts, to find solace in the dark.

Although he is now based in Colorado, Sunsetlee was mostly raised in Tennessee, where from an early age he told friends and family that he wanted to be a singer – even though he didn’t at the time have the abilities to make that happen. While money slowed him down at the start, his career got a boost when in 2021 he gathered with friends to buy basic recording equipment, allowing the group to turn their musical hobby into the real deal. He was encouraged by the reaction from listeners, and by 2023, decided to take his craft seriously.

‘Electric Ghosts’ is out now and is available to stream and download here. You can find out more about Sunsetlee and his music online on InstagramFacebook, Spotify, and Apple Music.
