With electronic pop inspiring his sound, Ron Morven’s album ‘Six’ grew naturally when the artist decided to sit down with pen and paper, and instinct. While some of the sixteen songs on the album arose quickly, others took a lot longer, with the songwriting process focusing more on emotional truth, rather than perfection.
Morven, who has worked both as a novelist and a creator in digital and tech fields before expanding into music, recorded ‘Six’ in Italy, at Podbiz Media Company’s studio. He has taken inspiration from his experiences all over the world, including the United States, Italy, the UK, France, Japan, South Korea and India, ensuring that his music has a universal feel, that can be related to no matter where the listener is located.
Incorporating modern electronic production with organic, and analogue sounds, the instrumentation of ‘Six’ includes live drums, analog synths, and multi-layered vocals, giving the album a feel that’s both modern and yet timeless.
Highlights of the album include the upbeat and effervescent, ‘The Family Man’, and the anthemic, ‘Unknown Miracle’.
