Ireland’s country queen Janet Devlin is back, and she’s bringing new music with her.
Following the success of her critically acclaimed Americana debut, ‘Emotional Rodeo’, which featured the chart-topping title track and fan favourites like, ‘Best Life’, Janet is gearing up to shake up the rodeo once again.
In a recent Instagram post, Janet shared a photo of herself beaming outside the iconic Abbey Road Studios, proudly announcing that not one, but three new songs have been mastered. Teasing her upcoming releases without revealing too much, she captioned the post with a wink:
“Insert that annoying thing artists do where you can’t play it yet but also want people to be as excited as you are.”
Naturally, the comment section exploded in anticipation and love from fans eager to hear what’s next.
From regular spins on BBC Radio 2 to topping the iTunes Country Chart, Janet has solidified her place in the country-rock world. Her sound – rooted in raw, honest lyricism – explores bold themes of self-acceptance, mental health, love, relationships, and everything in between. Recorded at Blackville Studios, ‘Emotional Rodeo’ captured the soul of Nashville, a true reflection of Janet’s unwavering authenticity as an artist over the years.
While we haven’t heard a sneak peek of what’s to come just yet, fans will have several chances to see Janet live this year, and maybe catch a preview. She’ll be performing two sets at The Long Road Festival on August 22nd and 23rd, joining a stellar line-up that includes Drake Milligan, Midland, and James Bay. Just a week later, she’ll be headlining The British Country Music Festival in Blackpool on August 31st. And for London fans, Janet returns for a special headline show at Colours, Hoxton on October 16th.
