Matthew Thay Doe wrote his first song when he was still only 8 years old, and his burgeoning songwriting grew out of love and heartbreak, with one, ‘On Christmas Day, I Want To Be With You’, written for his now wife, and finally recorded after a decade with the help of a friend.
The songs on ‘Christmas Is Perfect With You’ are generally catchy, with Matthew duetting with Suno, as they sing of love, peace, and togetherness. Simple instrumentals work well with the upbeat melodies, making the EP a great choice to have in the background while you’re preparing the Christmas meal, or while you’re having mulled wine in front of an open fire.
