‘Weekend’ Is The Relatable New Track From BBC Introducing-Supported Producer, Room Number 9

Set for release this Friday, July 28, ‘Weekend’ is the hugely relatable song from UK-based producer, Room Number 9.

We’re all waiting for the weekend, to get away from the workplace and have some time to ourselves, and Room Number 9 has tapped into the zeitgeist, with her upbeat and super-catchy EDM track.

The beat will get you going right from the start, and the whistle melody that accompanies the 80s style bubbly disco sound, as well as Room Number 9’s lyrics will have you getting up and dancing! With songs like this, the work-week is that much more bearable!

Feel good vibes with an up-tempo beat, ‘Weekend’ is Room Number 9’s first English language release, and comes with the aim of getting her sound out to a global audience. Originally from Hungary, but now a citizen of the UK, Room Number 9 has a passion for dance, tropical house, and pop music that reaches back to her childhood, when he father taught her the basics on a mini Casio keyboard. She started writing songs as a teenager, attracting the attention of local radio stations and DJs.

When she was in her 20s, Room Number 9 began a two-person co-operative, whose success led to some great connections in the music industry, and necessitated she move to Budapest. From there she collaborated with several DJs, opening up to the opportunity of creating an album of her previous releases. The subsequent release resulted in one of the songs from the album roaring up the Hungarian charts, where it remained on the top spot for several weeks.

Her unusual moniker, “Room Number 9”, came from the peace and safety she found in the music classroom at school, Room Number 9, during a challenging time in her childhood, where she had trouble at home, and bullying at school. Music became her solace, and means of escape, and later, when her husband gave he a piano, it effectively became her very own Room Number 9, where she could take her dreams and turn them into reality.

‘Weekend’ is out this Friday, 28th July, and you can pre-save it here. Find out more about Room Number 9 and her music online on InstagramTwitter, Facebook, Spotify, and Apple Music.
