Seattle’s La Need Machine Return With New Heartfelt Single, ‘Maria’

We last wrote about La Need Machine back in November, with their single, ‘Negative’, and now the Seattle-based band have returned with their latest single, ‘Maria’.

‘Maria’, released on June 30, has a guitar-led retro-Americana vibe that tells the story of a Maria, the object of the singer’s affections. Supported by a steady drum rhythm, percussive elements, and soaring strings, is part laid back, and part urgent plea, as the singer declares their heartfelt affection to the titular character. It’s easy listening with a wide appeal that will strike a chord with just about everyone.

Out of Seattle, Washington State, La Need Machine have a unique sound and work ethic that is still very much classic North West. The band is a musical collective that donates a significant part of their proceeds to charities that help people both in their local community and around the world.

Charities that they are presently supporting include:

The Trevor Project

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

Mary’s Place Emergency Family Shelters

American Nurses Association

Tetiaroa Society (Marlon Brando’s Non-Profit)

Childhaven

Global Impact – Ukraine Response Fund

Doctors Without Borders

Ukrainian Community Center of Washington
