From travelling the world as part of renowned theater productions playing the Acid Queen in ‘The Who’s Tommy’ and the role of Linda in award-winning hit musical ‘Blood Brothers,’ performer and singer/songwriter Carly Burns shares a new emotional single ‘Now You Fly.’
After releasing a pop bop, ‘Sweetheart,’ Carly Burns got the courage to release a tribute to her friend that sadly took his life during the pandemic. ‘Now You Fly’ is a beautiful testament to grieving a loved one, with the fifth stage being acceptance.
Carly Burns elaborates on the message behind ‘Now You Fly’: “I have been developing this song for a year and a half, and the whole process has been like therapy to me. Through some insanely intense lows, my music has allowed me to release my grief and find strength. The recording studio day was extremely emotional, and I hope my listeners can hear my heart being poured out because that is exactly what I did.”
Aligned with the release of ‘Now You Fly,’ Carly Burns set up a Just Giving page for any proceeds and support to go to the children’s mental health charity PAPYRUS. You can find more information here.
