UK musician Marcus McCoan has already made a name for himself as an incredible songwriter, working with the likes of BTS to help create platinum-selling records. Now, he makes the decision to start a new phase in his musical career, releasing his debut single ‘Try Me’ after fans loved the initial live video.
‘Try Me’ is loaded with this dark, mysterious energy that flows throughout. An impassioned vocal and lyrical performance embracing a dizzying compassion to take risks on love, takes centre stage, luring listeners in. ‘Try Me’ weaves together this massive synth sound with reverby guitar tones in a style that feels like a hybrid of The Weeknd and The 1975.
Later next year, ‘Try Me’ will be followed by a further two singles, ‘Phase Me’ and ‘Chemical’. Fans of Marcus got to see the likes of which performed if they attended Natalie Imbruglia’s celebratory tour last month, which Marcus had the pleasure of supporting. With ‘Phase Me’ and ‘Chemical’ looking to show off what Marcus is really about, he is already starting this new journey off the right way.
