Joe Jackson Releases Debut EP, ‘Our Subtle Disposition’

Out now, ‘Our Subtle Disposition’, is the first EP from rising Australian artist, Joe Jackson. Mixed and mastered by Stay Nice, the release is a poignant exploration of Jackson’s experiences, marked by heartbreak and loss. The eight track EP is reminiscent in style to that of Post Malone, and fellow Australian, the hip hop artist 360.

Jackson, who is a musician and producer as well as a singer songwriter, uses angsty lyrics fused hip hop beats, combining them with catchy hooks, and his distinctive vocals.

Opening track, ‘Goodbye’, released as a single, has already garnered more than 17 thousand streams on Spotify alone, and sets the standard for Jackson’s fast-paced vocal style. Track 3, ‘No Sorrow’, combines hip hop with an alt pop instrumental, while the title track, coming in at the halfway position of the EP, gives Jackson the opportunity to flex his vocal muscles, as he relies less on rap and instead concentrates on a somewhat more ordered song structure.

Jackson is able to convey deep emotion in his songs, regardless of whichever genre he chooses to employ, and the skill with which he does this without feeling the need to limit himself to just one. With his new EP, Joe Jackson is setting himself as one to watch and we shall certainly be doing just that.
