Elisha Releases Latest Single, ‘My Beauty’

Taking her inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nina Simone, Australian artist Elisha is set to win many fans with her new single, ‘My Beauty’. ‘My Beauty’ is out this Friday, 1 July, and can be pre-saved here.

Soul artist Elisha recorded ‘My Beauty’ while surrounded by her friends at Box Hill Institute. It’s essentially a self-love song, with Elisha’s aim to empower not just herself and her friends, but also all listeners. And it’s certainly one which will resonate with everyone as Elisha’s voice rings through pure and clear, supported by saxophone and electric guitar, revealing herself at her most vulnerable.

Elisha is the soul and blues passion project of singer songwriter Elisha Labriola, which she started in 2018, when she broke into the independent music scene. Based in Narrm, the Wurundjeri name for Melbourne, Elisha says of her songwriting,

“My songs are basically a diary entry. Everything I write about is personal to me.”

Elisha has made a name for herself supporting other acts such as Karise Eden (winner of The Voice) Kosmoblu, Lace De Bridge and many more, before releasing what is possibly the ultimate break up song, her debut single ‘Better Without You’, back in 2020.

While Narrm was in lockdown for a record 262 days, Elisha put her time to good use, writing and refining a collection of songs, which she is now releasing. If ‘My Beauty’ is anything to go by, fans and newcomers to her music are in for a treat!
