ZASKIA Releases Debut Single, ‘Paranoid’

Set for release on 1 April, ‘Paranoid’ is the debut single from British-Jamaican singer songwriter, ZASKIA. Pre-save this Garage style summer anthem here.

With a sound that takes us back to the late 90s, ‘Paranoid’ draws from elements of Garage, as well as old-school electronic dance music. The track comes ahead of ZASKIA’s debut album, ‘Butterflies’, set for release later this year.

Speaking about her songwriting, ZASKIA explains,

“My writing style consists of situations, stories shared with a poetic tongue.”

Music is in ZASKIA’s blood, with her brother, Wayne Bennett, a member of The Streets, and her cousin, the artist J. Denzel, just two of her large creative family. It should therefore come as no surprise that making music comes easily to ZASKIA. While her style sonically sits somewhere between Soul, and R&B, she doesn’t allow herself to be limited by genre. The mature and extremely confident style of ‘Paranoid’ would be envied in an artist with a longer catalogue, and should both surprise her listeners and ensure her success. Already known for not being afraid to try whatever style she wants, ZASKIA is shooting for the stars, and we look forward to hearing from her again very very soon.
