The Essential Advent Calendar: December 15 – Scottish Alt Rockers Dancing On Tables Release Holiday Cover Of Slade’s ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’; ‘Play Play Play’ EP Out Now On Enci Records/LV Music

Scotland’s Dancing On Tables are ushering in the holidays with a new take on Slade’s ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’.

The Band says,

“We wanted to do a Christmas song with a difference for a while, but when we realised we all had the same favourite festive track it was the perfect excuse to do this one. It’s a feel-good track done in a DOT way that has been stuck in our head since we recorded it”

Named as one of Variety Magazine’s ”10 Brits To Watch,” the lads of Dancing On Tables recently released their 5 song EP titled ‘Play Play Play’ via Enci Records/LV Music. The EP consists of material released in the UK and serves to introduce the band to the rest of the world

With an ever-growing fanbase in the UK and beyond, the band’s profile continues to rise. A recent supporting stint on Catfish and The Bottlemen’s arena tour, festival appearances, placements in ad campaigns for Schuh x Adidas and Scottish Water, and inclusion on major playlists, such as New Music Friday, The Pop List and Breaking Alternative have all helped to put the spotlight on the promising alt rockers.

Watch for Dancing On Tables’ debut full-length to be released in 2022.
