Following on from his release earlier this year of his album, ‘Transition‘ and the title track back in March, Mediterranean based House producer Doctor Together returns with his new single, ‘Candy’.
Self-released, the artist aims to bring summer themes and positive vibes to his fans, the artist is a Spanish musician who prefers to remain anonymous. His sound has a clear House music influences, combined with his own style; ‘Candy’ calls to mind the likes of Daft Punk, and St Germain. Doctor Together has studied jazz to an advanced level, and has had experience working with famous Spanish pop and rock bands, including Loquillo, Ska-P, and Ramoncín. While it’s impossible to deny the influence of Daft Punk and other electronic artists, the funky guitar and bass riffs give ‘Candy’ a feeling all of its very own.
Altogether, ‘Candy’ infuses a feeling of calm to the listener; and if you sit back and close your eyes, and concentrate on just one aspect of the instrumentation, you soon find yourself in a trancelike state; this makes ‘Candy’ an ideal track for meditation, particularly as the many different layers mean you can come back over and over and concentrate on a different layer.
