This Mellow Releases Touching Debut Single ‘I’m With You’

Christian contemporary artist This Mellow is based in Perth, Western Australia. His debut single, ‘I’m With You’ was inspired by the lockdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic, and being separated from family members in the UK. It’s a sentiment we can all relate to, as we’ve all been through tough times in the past year or so – a song we can find solace in regardless of our beliefs or lack thereof. This Mellow is able to fuse the love he has for his family, with the love he feels in his Christian faith.

Although now living in Australia, This Mellow was born and raised in the UK, and was first inspired to learn guitar after seeing George Harrison on the Beatles Anthology series. Eight months after first starting to play, at the age of 15, he began making his own music, and played his first live show. It all snowballed from there, going into the studio at the age of 16 to record his first song, which saw him not only sing, but play all the instruments himself. Truly the die was cast for him to be a musician, and he spent many years as a gigging artist in the secular music world.

In 2017 This Mellow gave his life to Jesus and became a Christian, and saw him withdraw from the secular music world, and go solo with his own faith based music. He spent 2020 writing his first Christian inspired songs, with his ‘I’m With You’ his first release. His sound has been described as stripped down acoustic music, and takes its inspiration from other contemporary Christian music artists including Chris Tomlin, Leeland and Zach Williams. This Mellow is currently in the studio recording working on new material and preparing for his first live shows.

‘I’m With You’ was released on April 23, and can be streamed and downloaded from Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Watch the music video for ‘I’m With You’ below:
