Set for release 12 February, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Yoji’s new EP, ‘Retro Romance’, is simply exquisite.
The EP is the third for the soulful pop singer, who has won awards for her music, as well as supported the likes of Kool & The Gang at the 02 Arena in 2019 and also performed at top music venues in both central London and throughout the West End.
Lead single, ‘Old Fashioned’, sees Yoji’s sultry vocals highlighted by saxophones and a seductive melody in a gorgeous blend of classic R&B with the timeless quality of Motown class, and effortless Soul. The song was inspired by Yoji’s own experience of love and romance, and was mixed by Barnabas Poffley, who infused the vintage sounding track with a modern vibe. Speaking of the EP, Yoji described it as a “celebration of love and passion for life, unravelling my experiences of true love”. ‘Retro Romance’, and ‘Old Fashioned’, are perfect for Valentine’s Day – and you can presave here.
